J-10 TRUCK 1980S HISTORY



In 1971, Jeep trucks lost the name and  appeared Gladiator J-10 models (119 inches) or J-20 (131 inches). Improvements included front disc brakes, a new front axle, six-stud wheels and heavier frame cross members.
The truck line J-10 J-Series versions included Honcho, Golden Eagle and 10-4.
J-20 was the largest van GVW (gross vehicle weight), with capacities of more than half a ton to a ton and even with dual rear wheel configuration.
In the years of J-Series trucks were also produced J-30 Series.
All trucks shared the same body design that Jeep Wagoneer and Cherokee, from the cab forward, and offered with flat sided body or side steps.

1980S GRAND WAGONEER HISTORY


The full-size Wagoneer SJ was retained until 1991, but under the name "Grand Wagoneer".

JEEP CHEROKEE HISTORY

There were 14 models during the years: Base, SE, Briarwood, Wagoneer Limited,  Pioneer, Chief, Pioneer Olympic Edition,  Sport, Classic, Country,  Laredo, Limited,  Freedom and 60th Anniversary Edition.
