Reviewers say that the 2012 Compass will appeal to buyers with a low price and good fuel consumption. Also, because it is a crossover, which means having a car like handling, more practical compass for a weekly jam into office than other off-road vehicles. However, if you require one of the most capable off-road SUVs on the market, the Jeep Compass is not. Jeep Wrangler is a better choice.

Inside, the Compass does not have the standard amenities, such as a USB port, that buyers are looking for.It also does not have 1 ton of cargo space available, so if The 2012 Compass will double as a family hauler, you'll get better utility with the Honda CR-V. - interior look and feel, dare we say it, nice.
- However, Compass does not have the overall improvement of the a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V. Compass makes sense as a functional wagon for people who crave Jeep Grand Cherokee styling in low-cost, more-compact package. For most people, there are much better alternatives.
- Compass, they will be remembered for keep trying to stretch all of their Jeep brand a bit too far.
Other SUVs to Consider :
Jeep Compass is one of the most expensive SUV off-road, but upgrade to the more expensive Jeep Wrangler will be worth the extra cost if you require one off-road SUVs on the market. This year, the Wrangler has new engine that not only delivers more finesses off-road, but also make an adequate daily driver.
No compact SUV in this class is very strong, but for a more subtle performance, you will have to sacrifice off-road prowess.Volkswagen Tiguan, for example, is the most fun-to-drive vehicles in the class, but it is a sophisticated compact SUV, not a rock-climber.GMC Terrain, however, offer a better balance of the rugged looks and performance capable.
